Actually the unite with NK will not easy or welcomed anymore. 1. SK think it will cost more money than German case and we don’t have enough fund anymore. 2. Considering NK side, they have gone through the starvation in 1990 and anyway their economy have grown up last 20years. Also if there are coup or another party will take the regime, it means that they will be another independent country and not meaning they will unite with South Korea, even they will open NK to the world. BTW NK individuals are worrying about that SK or China will take their mineral or mine resources. 3. But the reason we keep the current situation with lasting Korean war is that; In the case of the regime changes in NK or there are political chaos with coup, then China already has a plan that the Chinese military force will go into NK and take over.
